The theme of this year’s session regarding valuation are ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria, as well as their impact on valuation of fixed assets and business. Considering the notion that these criteria are already incorporated in the existing European standards for valuation of real estate, plant, equipment and business assets, and that it is expected that these standards will be further modified in this aspect, this session will consider their basic requests and the challenges of their practical implementation. Sustainable development represents a long-term strategy to increase business value by enhancing organizational effectiveness. With the development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, HRM and marketing gained new methods and tools necessary for modern business within the VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) environment.
Therefore, sustainable development of human resources management (HRM) will be introduced through two modern and original concepts which enable the attainment of academic and professional qualifications of employees in two different industries. On the other hand, the development of modern marketing will be presented through marketing strategies from different business activities, which will enable the creation of additional value both for its target groups and for society as a whole.

Circular economy as a nonlinear economic model rejects the concept of Take-make-use-dispose and extends the existence of resources in the technosphere, through a number of approaches (reusage, recycling, remodeling, reparation, etc.) whose aim is to reduce the waste and the exploitation of new resources and to encourage smart (sustainable) usage. Transferring to the circular economic model faces companies and the industry with a number of challenges, which, on the one hand, pertain to the education of management, redefining the new job positions (transition towards green occupations), and the integration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematic) competencies. On the other hand, these challenges pertain to the redesign and innovation of the whole production process which is primarily relevant to small and medium size enterprises who are the major acters in the transition to the circular model of economy.
This panel will gather representatives of academia from various fields and from the industry who will discuss the trends and challenges of circular economy on the following topics:
1. The challenges of circular economy: The concept and perception of circular economy; Circular economy the EU and Serbia – comparison; Application of the circular economy concept in the chain of value; Contributions of the circular economy to sustainable environment.
2. Green innovations in circular economy and the models of financing projects regarding circular economy: Possibilities and the funds; Challenges for practical implementation; The models of financing the projects – the EU level, national and local level.
